Bachelor of Technology in Banking Technology and Finance

Entry Requirements 

  1. SSSCE Applicants An applicant must obtain at least credit passes (A-D) in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies as well as credit passes in at least three Elective Subjects in General Arts, Business, or General Science. An aggregate 36 or better and 24 or better is required for WASSCE and SSSCE applicants, respectively.
  2. WASSSCE Applicants An applicant must obtain at least credit passes (A1 -C6) in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies as well as credit passes in at least three Elective Subjects in General Arts, Business, or General Science. An aggregate 36 or better and 24 or better is required for WASSCE and SSSCE applicants, respectively.
  3. GCE “O” and “A” Level An applicant must obtain at least five passes in O’Level/GBCE including English Language and Mathematics plus two A’Level/ABCE passes.
  4. HND and Diploma Applicants
    1. Applicants with Higher National Diploma or Bachelor of Technology in any Business field will be admitted to Level 300.
    2. Applicants with Professional Diploma in Banking and Finance who also have at least credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies will be admitted in Level 300.
  5. Diploma Applicants
    1. An applicant with accredited Diploma in Banking Technology and Finance (DipBTF) from an accredited Institution and at least four credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies will be admitted to Level 200.
    2. An applicant with DCA or DBS and at least four credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies will be admitted to Level 200.
    3. An applicant holding HND in other related disciplines will be admitted to Level 200.
    4. PDCA holders with at least credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies will be admitted to Level 200.
    5. Applicants with Level I of CIB, ACCA and ICA or their equivalents will be admitted to Level 200.
  6. CIB Applicants
    1. An applicant with Part II of CIB will be admitted to Level 300.
    2. Applicants will however be required to take two banking software courses in Level 200.
  7. Mature Applicants Must be 25 years old with legitimate documentary proof which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application, must pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by KsTU, may have to attend and pass an interview. Evidence of working experience will be an added advantage.  
  8. Foreign Applicants Academic records of foreign applicants will be referred to GTEC for the determination of qualification equivalence and eligibility for admission as well as placement.
