Entry requirements

1. SSSCE Applicants West Passes (A-D) in Core English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus elective Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Applied Electricity/Applied Electronics.
2. WASSCE Applicants Passes (A1-C6) in core English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus a minimum of (C6) in three elective subjects including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Applied Electricity/Applied Electronics.
3. GCE “O” and “A” Level Passes in three of the following ‘A’ level science subjects: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology. The applicant must have had passes in five (5) GCE O’ level subjects including English, Mathematics and Science.
4. HND and Diploma
   
   1. Applicants should have HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with Second Class Lower Division can apply to join level 300.
   2. Diploma Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Applicants with Second Class Lower Division can apply to join level 300
5. Electrical Engineering Technician (EET) Part I and II graduates Applicants with a minimum of Credit Passes in all the THREE courses, plus a minimum of C6 (WASSCE) or D (SSSCE) in English and Core Mathematics may be admitted to the first year of the programme.
6. Electrical Engineering Technician (EET) Part III graduates Applicants with a minimum of Credit Passes in all the THREE courses, plus a minimum of C6 (WASSCE) or D (SSSCE) in English, Elective Mathematics and Core Mathematics may be admitted to the second year of the programme. Applicants will be required to take Computer Literacy.
7. Mature Applicants Must be 25 years old with legitimate documentary proof which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application, must pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by KsTU, may have to attend and pass an interview. Evidence of working experience will be an added advantage
8. Foreign Applicants: Academic records of foreign applicants will be referred to GTEC for the determination of qualification equivalence and eligibility for admission as well as placement
