Entry Requirements:

1. SSSCE Applicants Six (6) passes (A-D) in all subjects, three of which should be credit passes in D or better in Core English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus three (3) passes (D) or better in the following elective courses: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Engineering Science, Building Construction, Woodwork, Geography and Economics.
2. WASSCE Applicants: Six (6) passes (A1-D7) in all subjects, three of which should be credit passes in C6 or better in Core English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus three (3) passes (D7) or better in the following elective courses: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Engineering Science, Building Construction, Woodwork, Geography and Economics.
3. G.C.E “O” and “A” Level Three (3) G.C.E “O” Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Technical Drawing and a Science subject preferably Physics or Chemistry and Three (3) G.C.E “A” Level passes in Mathematics and any two (2) of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Geography plus a pass in General paper
4. Technical Certificate
   
   1. Applicants with Five (5) passes in all subjects including English and Mathematics of NABPTEX certificate organised by the Technical Examinations Unit of the Ministry of Education
   2. Final Technicians Certificate Applicants: Applicants CTC II (old) or CTC III (New) Certificate with passes in all the seven subjects/courses (4 written papers and 3 project works applicants of Ordinary Technician Diploma certificate with passes in all subjects
5. Mature Applicants Must be 25 years old with legitimate documentary proof which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application, must pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by KsTU, may have to attend and pass an interview. Evidence of working experience will be an added advantage.
