Entry Requirements:

1. SSSCE Applicants Passes in Core English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, Elective Mathematics, Elective Physics and EITHER Elective Chemistry OR Applied Electricity or Electronics.
2. WASSCE Applicants Passes (A1-D7) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects: English language, Mathematics, Integrated Science OR Social Studies and A minimum of (C6) in any three (3) elective subjects - Mathematics, Physics and EITHER Chemistry OR Applied Electricity or Electronics.
3. GCE “O” and “A” Level Passes at ADVANCED LEVEL in Mathematics/Statistics, Physics and EITHER Chemistry OR any ONE other science course as well as Credit passes at ORDINARY LEVEL in English, Mathematics, Physics and any TWO other courses at the ordinary level.
4. Diploma Applicants Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Applicants with at least Second-Class lower, Core English and Core Mathematics may be admitted to the second year of the programme.
5. Other Technical Qualification
   
   1. O.T.D. Students with the Ordinary Technician Diploma may be admitted to the second year of the program. Also, students will be required to take computer literacy and Communication Skills examinations.
   2. Telecommunications Part III Students with at least Credit Passes in all the THREE courses and in Mathematics and English may be admitted to the first year of the Programme.
   3. E.E.T. Part III Students with at least Credit Passes in all the THREE courses, and in English and Core Mathematics may be admitted to the second year of the programme, as well as Students will be required to take computer literacy and communication Skills examinations. However, students with passes in all three courses and passes in mathematics and English may be admitted to the first year of the programme.
   4. EET II Credit passes in all THREE courses PLUS FOUR credits passes at the ordinary level, OR Passes at the SSS Level, including English and mathematics.
   5. EET I Credit passes in all THREE courses PLUS passes in FIVE courses including Core English and Core Mathematics at the SHS Level.
6. Mature Applicants Must be 25 years old with legitimate documentary proof which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application, must pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by KsTU, may have to attend and pass an interview. Evidence of working experience will be an added advantage.
7. Foreign Applicants: Academic records of foreign applicants will be referred to GTEC for the determination of qualification equivalence and eligibility for admission as well as placement
