Entry Requirements:

1. SSSCE Applicants SSSCE with passes (A-D) in Core English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and also three (3) Passes in the following elective subjects: Technical Drawing or Engineering Science, Building Construction, Woodwork, Metal Work, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, General Knowledge in Art, Clothing, Textiles and Graphic Design, and having an aggregate not exceeding 36 in the case of WASSCE applicants and 24 for SSSCE applicants.
2. WASSCE Applicants WASSCE with passes (A1-C7) in Core English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and also three (3) Passes in the following elective subjects: Technical Drawing or Engineering Science, Building Construction, Woodwork, Metal Work, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, General Knowledge in Art, Clothing, Textiles and Graphic Design, and having an aggregate not exceeding 36 in the case of WASSCE applicants and 24 for SSSCE applicants.
3. GCE “O” and “A” Level Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics PLUS GCE ‘A’ Level passes in any Two (2) of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Geography and Fine Art;
4. Wood Trade and Related Technician Certificate Applicants Applicants who have passed all the three (3) components of the Advanced Furniture Design & Construction or Advanced Cabinet Making or Advanced Carpentry & Joinery and must pass an interview conducted by a panel of the Department. Professional working experience of at least, one (1) year evidenced with a letter from employer is and added advantage
5. Mature Applicants Must be 25 years old with legitimate documentary proof which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application, must pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by KsTU, may have to attend and pass an interview. Evidence of working experience will be an added advantage.
6. Foreign Applicants: Academic records of foreign applicants will be referred to GTEC for the determination of qualification equivalence and eligibility for admission as well as placement
