In line with the requirement of attaining a Master’s degree in Kumasi Technical University, the Graduate School of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), organised the 2022 Viva-Voce for Mr. Bright Amponsem, a final year Master of Technology (MTech) student. He made a presentation on his thesis topic “Municipal Solid and Wood Waste as a Potential Source of Energy Generation” before a panel of experts as his examiners

The Postgraduate oral thesis defense programme had supervisors as well as some examiners as members of the panel. The student was examined based on three parameters: the candidate’s ownership of the work, display of knowledge and contribution to an existing body of knowledge and his presentation which was adjudged one of the best among previous years.

With this feat, Mr. Amponsem becomes the first student from the Graduate School to present his oral thesis defense this year. However, other candidates from the Graduate School are expected to present theirs soon. He was supervised by Ing.Dr. Edem C. Bensah and Ing. Dr. Julius Cudjoe Ahiekpor

In a brief address the Dean of Graduate School, Dr. Patricia Owusu Darko who also served as the Chairman for the programme expressed her excitement about the improvement in the works of postgraduate students every year. She further encouraged students who pursue graduate studies to continue bringing the best in them. The Viva-Voce programme was held at the MTech lecture hall.
