University Management Inspects Ongoing Project At Adako Jachie

On Tuesday November 1, 2022, a delegation from Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) visited the Adako Jachie Campus for the fifth site inspection to ascertain first-hand the progress of work for the construction of the four-storey building for the Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology (FCAT).

It can be recalled that KsTU commenced the construction of a four-storey building at Adako Jachie to house the Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology (FCAT). The project consists of lecture halls, a library, and offices. The building which will additionally enhance the beauty of the Campus is also aimed at decongesting the main Asem campus of KsTU. The completion of the building and relocation of the Faculty will bring the total number of faculties at the Adako Jachie campus to three.

At the inspection, the Director of Works of the University underscored the need for the contractor to do diligent work as well as accelerating the progress of work in order to deliver the project on time. Senior Management present at the site also affirmed their willingness to help make the project successful.

The project was expected to be completed in October 2022 but has delayed with the contractor seeking an extension. The contractor for the project, expressed satisfaction with the support and promised to do an excellent job for KsTU. He mentioned that even though the project had delayed he was confident that the project will be completed by April 2023.

Members from the Works Directorate, Senior Management team, Director of Procurement, and the Dean of FCAT were present for  the inspection.
