Effective Utilisation of Institutional E-Mails Underscored

A day’s workshop has been organised for the Executive Committee members of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) to educate the members more on effective ways to utilise their institutional e-mails and other repositories.  The one-day workshop which was held at the Council Chamber of the University was chaired by the Interim Vice Chancellor (IVC) of the University, Ingr. Prof. Mike A. Acheampong. It was the beginning of a month-long training programme for the staff of KsTU on the best way to use the institutional I.C.T infrastructure.

The annual fashion show of the Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology (FCAT) of the Kumasi Technical University has been duly launched under the theme ‘Creative Partnerships’. The annual programme which has become part and parcel of the FCAT’s events for the year is always eagerly anticipated by students and numerous patrons from the general public.  The event seeks to celebrate the creativity of students as well as encourage them in their entrepreneurial drive.

STUDENTS’ REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL of KsTU DONATES to the UNIVERSITY

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Kumasi Technical University has donated 35 projectors at the cost of GHS94, 500.00 to the University. The 2018/2019 SRC indicated that as part of the Council’s contribution to teaching and learning on campus, the body deems it appropriate to donate those equipment to enhance the delivery of lectures and learning processes.

The Governing Council of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has gone through a day’s workshop at the plush Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi to further expose members of the University Council to improved university governance. The workshop is part of an elaborate programme drawn by the University to re-orient the staff and the other stakeholders of the University on better ways of governing the University.

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has held its 14th Congregation Ceremony over a two-day period between 18th and 19th January, 2019 for the 2017/2018 graduands.  The Minister of Education in charge of tertiary Prof. Kwesi Yankah who graced the first ceremony on Friday, 18th January in his address, encouraged the Technical Universities to build enough capacity to cope with the expected influx of students from the free Senior High School programme.

The Business Sector Advocacy (BUSAC) Fund and Leather Bags Manufacturers Association have co-funded a four-day capacity building workshop for members of the Leather Bags Manufacturers Association in Kumasi. The collaboration between the BUSAC Fund and the Association is led by the Institute of Research, Innovation and Development (IRID) of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) which also convened the workshop. The workshop was organized under the theme ‘Promoting the marketability of made in Ghana leather products’.

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has resumed the series of workshops on Competency-Based Training (CBT) it started about a year ago. These workshops are also meant to be a trainer-of-trainees such that all faculty members would be capacitated to develop programmes along the lines of CBT. It should be noted that the conversion of Ghana’s polytechnics into Technical Universities (TUs) in 2016 is not without enormous responsibilities.

He made this statement during the 5th International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (ICAST) organised by Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region. The Conference which is organised annually by the University had as its theme “Skills Acqusition and Job Creation through Science, Technology and Innovation for National Development”.

The KsTU lecturers were Dr. Sarfo Mensah, Dr. Ing. Collins Ameyaw while Dr. Emmanuel Manu is a faculty member of Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK. Both Dr. Sarfo Mensah and Dr. Collins Ameyaw are from the Department of Building Technology in KsTU while Dr.
