KsTU receives a Boost as AVIC International donates a Vehicle to the AVIC Workshop

The Automotive Engineering Department of Kumasi Technical University has taken delivery of a vehicle to boost their training. The vehicle was presented by the Chinese corporation, AVIC International, as part their supplies for the AVIC Engineering Workshop on 2nd November, 2022.

On receiving the vehicle, the Dean of Engineering, Prof. Dery Nagre, was full of gratitude and said the donation was important for the practical development of the students. He assured of the University’s commitment to TVET Education to the country’s development.

The 2022 Ghana Technical University Sports Association (GHATUSA) games came to a climax on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, and as expected, Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) emerged the 3rd in the overall competition proving their stellar performance at the 2nd edition of the GHATUSA games held at Tamale from 13th to 19th November, 2022.

The GHATUSA games started with a grand ceremony on Monday, 14th November, 2022 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale.

KsTU holds workshop on Precision Quality

The Design and Technology Institute (DTI) has partnered Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) to begin a five- day Precision Quality (PQ) Curriculum Training Programme aimed at building the capacity of Teaching staff.
DTI, a world-class TVET training institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KsTU to implement the Precision Quality (PQ) curriculum to ensure that TVET students gain relevant skills and adhere to global industry standards.

Public Investment Unit Established at Kumasi Technical University

A thirteen (13) member committee has been appointed as the Public Investment Unit (PIU) of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU). The brief ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof. Osei Wusu-Achaw at the Council Chamber.

This action is in accordance with the provisions of Section 32 of the Public Private Partnership Act, 2020 (Act 1039), which demands that a PIU be set up as the focal unit for Public Private Partnership projects for all contracting authorities.

Kstu Signs Mou With Ghana National Association Of Garages To Improve The Automobile Industry

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana National Association of Garages (GNAG) to transfer knowledge in technology to help develop the automobile industry in the country.

As part of the collaboration, members of GNAG would be trained in the theoretical aspect of what they were already engaged in at their various workplaces. They will be certificated after going through the developed short courses.

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has held an investiture ceremony for Dr. Kwame Addo Kufour as the Chancellor of the University. The former Board Chairman of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), President of the Ghana Medical Association, Member of Parliament for Manhyia Constituency, and Former Defence Minister becomes the first Chancellor after it attained a university status.

KsTU holds Seminar for Postgraduate Students on Quality Scientific Research

As part of their activities for the 2021/ 2022 academic year, the Graduate School of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), has organized a research seminar under the theme: “Equipping the Postgraduate Student for Quality Scientific Research” for its postgraduate students.

The seminar was attended by all postgraduate students who discussed in detail, topics such as: “LaTeX for Thesis Writing and Presentation; Effective Presentation of Study Results, Writing Research Articles from your thesis among others.
